Functions of Women & Child Development Department :

1. Household Survey of the Anganwadi area for assessing the children between age group of o to 6 years and pregnant & lactating mothers and adolescent girls.
2. Weighing of children in age group 0-6 years once in a month for gradation
3. Providing supplementary nutrition to children in age group 6 months to 6 years, pregnant and lactating mothers through Anganwadi centers by women self help groups in the district.
4. Conducting Health check up and immunization for 0-6 age group children, pregnant  and lactating mothers and adolescent girls with the help of health Dept.
5. Running anganwadi centers effectively for delivery of services.
6. Regular Trainings to anganwadi workers./supervisers/CDPOs
7. Overall monitoring of the ICDS projects and distribution of grants to them
8. Implementation schemes of state Govt & ZP cess defined by subject committee
9. To improve health states of the children to achieve 75 %  children in normal grade
10. Admit children of grade III & IV in child Development centers for upgrading the health status.
