Women & Child Development Department Zilla Parished, Latur:


The committee for women & child development came into existence in Zilla Parishad in 1992 . Which is headed by elected women councillor of the Zilla parished. Consisting of 9 elected membars in the committee. Women & Child Development department implements following Schemes

1) Integrated Child Development Scheme.
2) Kishori Shakti Yojana
3) Transferred Schemes from the State Dept. under state Plan and Non Plan schemes.
4) Development & Welfare Schemes for Women and Children from Zilla Parishad cess  fund.

1) Integrated Child Development Scheme.
 Objectives of I C D S Scheme
1) To improve the nutritional and health status of children in the age group of 0 to 6 years
2) To lay the foundations for proper psychological , physical and social development of the child.
3) To reduce the incidence of mortality, morbidity, malnutrition and school dropouts.
4) To achieve effective co-ordination of policy and implementation amongst various departments to promote child development.
5) To enhance the capacity of the mother to look after the normal health and nutritional needs of the child through proper nutrition and health education.

ii) Kishori Shakti Yojna :- Training to Adolescent girls in the age group of 11 to 18 years for  health and nutritional education and all round development.

Grant assistance of Rs. 500/- is given to women in rural areas for self employment whose annual income is less than 20000/-


The subject committee for Women & Child Dev. decides the scheme to be taken from the funds allotted through DPDC

 

 

Sewing machines are provided to women in rural areas  for self employment  whose annual income is less than 20000/-and who have completed training in sewing.

 

 

 

grants for construction of Anganwadi building to those centers who do not have their own building..

Assistance of Rs. 2000/- is given for the marriage of widows daughter whose annual income is less than 20000/- in rural areas.
Assistance of Rs. 21500/- per session  to train women for self employment .
Grant of Rs. 46400/- per year as recurring expenditure is given to the multi-purpose centers for women empowerment.

 

Rs. 100/- per month is given as stipend fo girl students whose annual income is less than 20000/-
