VILLAGE PANCHYAT DEPARTMENT :

INTRODUCTION

The village panchayat department monitors statutory and executive activities of all gram panchayats in the district.

Gram panchayat is the soul of three tier decentralized local self government system and village panchayat department strives for strengthening of gram panchayats in the districts. Deputy CEO (village panchayat) is the head of the village panchayat department.  

Most of the schemes of village panchayat department are linked with panchayat samitees and other departments of Zilla Parishad like education, work, water supply in rural area, health, agriculture, animal husbandry etc.

Deputy CEO village Panchayat and his team works to provide technical guidance, planning and implementation of village development as well as special programmes like Total Sanitation Campaign (Nirmal Gram ) schemes from central, state govt. in co-ordination with peoples' representatives.
