Sanjeevani Island

Sanjeevani Island is a hilly and biodiversity area near Vadaval Nagnath village (Chakur taluka). It is 39 km from Latur and 16 km from Chakur.

Many rare Ayurvedic plants are found here, especially between July and September (Uttar Nakshatra). During this time, doctors and researchers from all over the country visit here. The Maharashtra government has set up a research center here for the study of medicinal plants and a Vaidya Sammelan is also organized.

Local tribals and doctors are well versed in traditional medicine. There are also Ayurvedic hospitals and medical clinics here.
