Kharausa Caves
Kharausa Caves are located near Kharausa village in Ausa taluka of Latur district, about 45 km from Latur. These ancient caves are carved in Jambi stone and consist of a total of 12 caves.
It is believed that these caves were excavated between the 6th and 9th centuries AD. On the other side of the mountain, there is a temple and shrine dedicated to Renuka Devi, adding religious significance to the site.
The first cave is of particular importance as it is Buddhist in origin and contains a seated statue of Lord Buddha, showcasing the cultural and spiritual depth of the region.
