1) Rajiv Gandhi Surksha Bima Yojana:

Our state Government has started this scheme from year 2003-2004. This scheme is for students who are studying in school or taking higher education. Under this scheme State Government is giving 59.95 Lakh Rs. to New India Insurance Company for students in Aurangabad and Nashik education division and Rs. 179.85 Lakh Rs. to the Oriental Insurance company for students in Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Amravati, Latur and Kolhapur education division in the form of insurance or Bima. Under this insurance scheme the school head master has to send report through Block Education Officer in proper format in limited time period. Under this scheme the student may get benefit in the following form. * Accidental death - Rs. 30000/- * Permanent Handicapped - Rs. 50000/- * Any organ getting damaged - Rs. 20000/- * Medical treatment - Rs. 2000/- * For operation - Rs.10000/- * Loss of school bag - Rs. 350/- * If bicycle is stolen or lost - Rs.1500/- * Breakage of Binoculars - Rs.750/- Under this scheme Z. P. primary education department has got following number of cases year wise only in accidental death type of case.
