Functions of Primary Education Department:

The functions performed by primary education department are as follow :

Following the recruitment procedure according to government rules and give appointments to primary teachers and secondary teaches in Z. P.,. primary and high schools

Giving promotions like cluster head, Junior ADEI, Secondary teacher, Head Master. and graduate teacher

Handling General transfers and Inter District transfers of teachers.

Handling court matters, Inquiries, Departmental Inquiries, Pension cases etc.

Sanctioning teachers posts and to give them individual approvals, all of various grants etc. to private schools.

Giving Z. P. Awards (Puraskars) to Z. P. teacher through Z.P.fund's

Organizing and conducting school exams through taluka pariksha mandal and Zilla Parishad Mandal.(Exam. Boards)

Conducting scholarship exams for 4th class and 7th class students.

Implementating of various Government schemes such as Rajiv Gandhi Surksha Bima Yojana, Uniform & teaching material distribution, Attendance Allowance, Mid-day meal, Savitribai Phule Datak Palak Yojana, Book bank Yojana etc.

Giving various information to higher authorities and working according to their guidelines.

Building and repairing school class rooms and providing various facilities for school maintainance
