Objectives of District Health Mission Latur:

The physical targets/objectives for each programme by the end of the mission period is given below  

  1. To reduce MMR to 135
  2. To reduce IMR to 25
  3. To reduce neonatal mortality rate to 20
  4. To bring down the TFR to 1.9
  5. To achieve and maintain a cure rate of at least 85% among newly detected infectious (new sputum smear positive) cases of tuberculosis
  6. To achieve and maintain detection of at least 70% of such TB cases in the population
  7. Reduction of mortality on account of Malaria, Dengue by half by 2010 & efficient morbidity control.
  8. Elimination of Lymphatic Filariasis by 2015.
  9. To reduce the prevalence of blindness from 0.95% to 0.8%
  10. To achieve elimination of Leprosy in every village by March 2012

    To upgrade 80% of community health centers in the district to Indian Public Health Standards.

    11. To upgrade at least 11 PHCs which are 24x7 to IPHS during 08-09.

    12. To Upgrade at least 16 SCs to IPHc during 08-09.
