Health Department
Introduction
Health Department, Zilla Parishad Latur is the main department providing quality and accessible medical services to the citizens of rural areas. The District Health Officer is the head of the department and looks after the planning, implementation and monitoring of health service schemes of the entire district. A total of 46 primary health centers and 252 sub-centers are functioning in Latur district. Through these, services like reducing maternal mortality rate, child mortality rate, disease control, family welfare etc. are provided.
