    Introduction

India is an agrarian country, and agriculture is considered the backbone of the economy. The agriculture sector contributes 18.5% to the country’s Gross National Income. With the increasing population, agricultural production must also grow. To achieve this, it is essential to make modern agricultural technologies, improved seeds, fertilizers, tools and crop protection chemicals available to farmers at affordable rates and in a timely manner while creating awareness among them. With the principle of welfare of the many and happiness of the many, the Agriculture Department of Zilla Parishad Latur is actively working.
