Minor Irrigation Department
Introduction
Minor Irrigation / Rural Water Supply Department is an important department of Zilla Parishad Latur and under this department, minor irrigation sub-divisions are approved at Udgir and Ausa. Also, rural water supply sub-divisions are included in Latur, Renapur, Ahmedpur, Devani, Jalkot, Nilanga. Similarly, Deputy Engineer (Mechanical) and Deputy Engineer Maintenance and Repair Cell are also included in this department. Under these sub-divisions, matters related to etiquette, structure and procedure, plan-wise development works as well as establishment are included. Technical, accounting and establishment related works are done in Minor Irrigation / Rural Water Supply Department. Minor Irrigation / Rural Water Supply Department receives government grants under the District Development Planning Committee and Development Program, and out of this, scheme-wise development works such as dams, lakes, irrigation wells, rural water supply etc. are mainly done in rural areas under the sub-divisions. Hon. The Chief Executive Officer is the Head of the Department of Rural Water Supply Schemes, and the Hon. Ati. Chief Executive Officer is the Head of the Department of Minor Irrigation Schemes. The Executive Engineer is the Head of the Office. Under the supervision of the Executive Engineer, Assistant Executive Engineer, Superintendent, Assistant Accounts Officer, Branch Engineer and other establishment clerks and attendant officers are working. All the subjects of this department have been divided into a total of 16 offices under this administrative officer.
